RICHARD JAMES
Harold Richard James, 70 of Brookfield, died today at Samaritan Hospital in Macon.
He was born June 19, 1922 in Bevier, son of Alf and Pearl (Slater) James. He married Jane Merchant and later married Earlene Rodabaugh. The latter survives of the home.
Also surviving are three sons, Rick James of Plainfield, Illinois, John James of Sheridan, Illinois, and Dennis James of Sioux City, Iowa; one daughter, Mary Myers of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; twelve grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Hazel James; two brothers, Glen and Guy James; and four sisters, Mary Jones, Iva Mae Johnson, and Letha and Katherine James.
He retired from General Motors after 33 years of employment. A WWII veteran, he served in both the Army and the Navy.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Brookfield Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under direction of Hill Funeral Home.
