Margaret was born to James and Charity Piper. Margaret and her sister Mary married brothers. This has caused some confusion. Margaret married John Brown, and Mary married Joseph Brown. Looks like in the same year 1815.
John and Margaret were among the early settlers in Greene Co. Jersey Illinois. The couple had nine children:
