Aaron was raised in Vermilion and graduated from the Firelands Schools and the Joint Vocational School in Oberlin where he studied Industrial Electricity.
He attended the First United Methodist Church in South Amherst. Aaron loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. He loved to listen to a variety of music and loved playing video games.
Survivors include his mother Tami Friel of New London; his brothers Justin Friel of Lorain and Bryan Matotek of Amherst; and his grandparents Edward and Jolene Friel of South Amherst as well as extended family.
