Marguerite (Rita) Ann Kaysbier passed away peacefully in Kemmerer, Wyoming at South Lincoln Medical Center, on October 17, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William J. Kaysbier and Dwight E. Anderson, and her parents, Arthur and Theresa Brookman and her sister, Marilynn Brookman of La Porte, Colorado.

Rita was born on June 17, 1935, in Fort Collins, Colorado, and resided with her family in La Porte. She graduated from Cache La Poudre High School in 1953, and went on to have a long career as a title officer with title companies in Monticello, Illinois, Fort Collins, and Loveland, Colorado, and Green River and Cheyenne, Wyoming.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda and son-in-law, Dewey Standifer, of Basin, WY. She is also survived by her grandson, Jason (Misty) Standifer, and three grandsons, Avery, Kyson and Cade Standifer of Heber City, UT, great granddaughters Sadie Dutra (J.R.Popp) and Ashton Standifer; and her grandson, Jerry (Maggie) Standifer and one great granddaughter, Lauren, and a great grandson, Logan Standifer of Fargo, North Dakota.

Her surviving brothers and sisters are John Brookman (Margee), Jeanne Criswell (Robert), David Brookman (Kerry), Susan La Flam (Scott), and James Brookman (Carla).

Rita’s interests include outdoor activities of hunting, fishing, and camping. She was a well-known quilter in both Northern Colorado, and Wyoming. She was an ardent volunteer in civic and community endeavors, loved square dancing, and was an avid bookworm. Her most important activities revolved around her family.
