James honorably served his country in the United States Army, serving in Germany where he built the Hercules Missiles. He was of the Baptist faith and was a jack-of-all-trades, but his most rewarding job was working for Horizon for the Blind.
He is survived by his children, Amanda and her husband Darcy Howe of Quitman, Texas and Scott and Tracy Bambeck of Bogata, Texas; grandchildren, Erica Renee Edwards, Ariel Jo Rachall, James Delany Bambeck, Stephen Howe, Hannah Michelle Dotson and Mitchell Dyson, and Donny Howe; one great grandchild, Journey Dyson; brothers, William “Billy” Bambeck and Danny Bambeck; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ann Bambeck.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Chambers Day Cemetery in Palestine, Texas. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Wood Funeral Home-Bogata.
