Helen D. Bonnett Bonds, 87, of Springfield died Tuesday at her daughter's residence.
She was born July 12, 1910, in Springfield, the daughter of George and Anna Rath Smith. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Edward W. Bonnett in 1980, and Donald K. Bonds in 1997. Mrs. Bonds was a homemaker and a member of Southern View Chapel and Sangamon County Farm Bureau.
Survivors: a son, William Bonnett of Greenview; four daughters, Ruth Allen and Edna Reynolds, both of Springfield, Helen Weidhuner of Greenview and Trudy Irwin of Pleasant Plains; a stepson, Donald Bonds of Peoria; three stepdaughters, Shirley Keech of Neb., Deloris Wilson of St. Charles, Mo., and Barb Dalby of Charleston; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Smith of Effingham and George Smith of San Diego; three sisters, Marie Rasar of Ariz., Kathryn Smith of Decatur and Gertrude Hodack of Springfield.
Services: Bisch and Son Funeral Home. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
