Services for Rita Virginia “Granny” Taylor, 84, of Meadville, who died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Meadville Convalescent Home, will be at 1 p.m. today (Friday, June 20, 2008) at Meadville Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Bude.

Mrs. Taylor was born April 8, 1924, in Franklin County, the daughter of Stanton and Hazel Aaron Jones.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter B. Taylor; siblings, Faye Jones Cothern and Charles Donald Jones; children and spouses, Linda Sue Taylor, Sandra Taylor Cagle and husband, James, Kenneth Taylor, Robert “Bobby” Lee Taylor, Jennifer Taylor Hebert and husband, Larry and grandson-in-law, Dennis Cole.

Survivors include three daughters, Gloria Taylor Guice and husband, John, Itasca Taylor White and husband, Joe and Janet Ellen Taylor; a son, Dale Taylor and his three children; one brother, Van Buren Jones; grandchildren, Annie Guice Allen and husband, James, Teresa Guice Wicker and husband, Phillip, John W. Guice and wife, Clara, Tina Boswell Cole, Billy Joseph Boswell and wife, Sandy, William Jesse Boswell and wife, Connie, James “Punkie” Cagle and wife, Anne, Charles “Charlie” Cagle, Sandy Cagle Lofton and husband, Bruce, Billy Jason “B.J.” White, Wade White and wife, Tina, Gary White and wife, Jenni, Joseph White and wife, Tracey, Alicia Hebert, Kelsey Anne Dry and Meagan Rachelle Dry; one daughter-in-law, Lavenia Taylor; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
