Melvin C. Burton
  Melvin Comings Burton, age 86, died November 30, 1991 of complications due to diabetes.
  He was born March 30, 1905, Salt Lake City, Utah to Lyman Wells and Ella Cornelia Comings Burton. He married Euleta Seigred Walton on June 27, 1928 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Served a mission to the Southern States, 1924-1926. He was a High Priest and served in many positions of leadership including youth organizations, genealogy and was a home teacher. He worked for First Security Bank for 25 years, then in 1946 went to work for Mrs. Condies Salad for 27 years. He dearly loved his family, his church and many friends, farming and gardening, deer hunting, camping and fishing in Yellowstone National Park.
  Survivors: one son, two daughters, Lyman Darrell Burton and his wife, Gail, Salt Lake City; Linda Lee Burton James and her husband, Larry James, Salt Lake City; Donette Burton Scott and her husband, Jim Scott, Ogden; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Burton Kerr, Tremonton; Linda Burton, Brigham City; Clara Burton Barber, Brigham City.
  After 57 years of marriage, he was preceded in death by his wife, Euleta and three daughters, Beverly, Barbara and Diane.
  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 4, 1991, 1 p.m., in the Winder 3rd Ward, 4550 South 1200 East. Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 So. 200 East and Wednesday at the Ward from 11:45 to 12:45. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
