Born in Port Hope, Mich., Mr. Huss came to Davenport as a small child. He married the former Emma Bertha Tonn in 1909, in Davenport. She died in 1955.
Mr. Huss had been employed at the Davenport Machine & Foundry Co., until retiring 10 years ago.
Survivors include sons, Harold, Vernon, and Allen, all of Davenport; daughters, Mrs. Margaret Smith, Peoria, Mrs. Helen Colgan and Mrs. Rose Prandy, both of Davenport, Mrs. Ruth Rubery, Huntsville, Ala., and Mrs. Virginia Haulk, Long Grove; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and brothers, Fred Huss, Moline, and Richard Huss of Port Huron, Mich.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church, with burial in Davenport Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the Runge chapel between 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m. Sunday.
