Alice Slone, age 92, of Larkslane, KY, passed away Monday, July 9, 2007 at the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital in Erwin, Tennessee after a long illness. Born at Bosco, Kentucky on September 22, 1914, she was the daughter of Tildon Huffine and Lula Reed Huffine. She was preceded in death by her husband-Carlos Slone; 2 Sons- Jimmy and Johnny; 2 Sisters- Lula Eller and June Miller. She was a member of the Ball Branch Old Regular Baptist Church. She is survived by 1 son- Charles Slone of New Hampshire;
4 Daughters- Mary Katherine Gibson of Larkslane, Ky., Patricia Draughn of Hindman, Ky., Carol Sue Puckett of Mousie, Ky. and Connie Sue Ferguson of Erwin, TN; 17 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 13, 2007 at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel. Officiating minister will be Clyde Bud Wicker. Burial will follow in the Hiram Slone Cemetery at Larkslane, Ky.
