Theodore Joseph Baer, Jr., 70, died February 19, 1982 in a Bountiful hospital.
Born January 22, 1912 in Salt Lake City to Theodore and Myra Charlotte Bates Baer. Married Mavis Shirley April 24, 1931. She died October 22, 1977. Married Regenia Moody April 4, 1978 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. High Priest in the LDS Church. Served an LDS Mission with his wife in Guatemala. He sang in the Mormon Male Chorus in Berkeley, Calif. for ten years. He was a Safeway Store Manager for 35 years in Berkeley, Calif. Avid sportsman. Well-known for his lapidary work.
Survivors: Wife, Bountiful; sons and daughters, Theodore J. Baer III, Richland, Wash.; Richard Baer, Bakersfield, Calif.; Mrs. Don (Shirley) Millgate, Pleasant Grove, Utah; Mrs. Gary (Linda) Mayberry, Bakersfield, Calif.; Stephen Baer, Kennewick, Wash.; six step-children; 65 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Oliver (Myra) Davies, Bountiful; one brother, Leon Baer, El Cerrito, Calif.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 23, 11:00 a.m. in the Bountiful 23rd Ward Chapel, 2200 South 600 East, where friends may call Tuesday 9:45-10:45 a.m. Graveside services and interment in Berkeley, Calif. Contributions may be made to Senior Citizens of Bountiful.
