Alice Amanda Decker was the second of three children born to Aaron Decker and Lydia Miner. She was born in Minnesota, and moved to Idaho with her mother and siblings some time after her father died ten days after being discharged from the 1st Minnesota Heavy Artillary in 1865. Her mother married David Bradley Bliss in Ada, Boise, ID on December 26, 1870.
Alice married Civil War Veteran James Luman Fuller on August 3, 1879 on a ranch in Alturas County, ID by a Justice of the Peace since there were no churches in the county at the time.
James and Alice had 11 children and lived in Bliss and later Shoshone, ID until their deaths, one year apart.
