Brother Adjutor of Mary (Patrick Goslin) was born in Ireland and entered the novitiate at Carondelet, Missouri in 1871. He died in Chicago, Illinois on November 18, 1912 at age 64 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Glencoe, Missouri.

Patrick Goslin was born on November 1, 1848 in Drummon, County Wicklow, Ireland, the son of Thomas and Margaret Kelly Goslin. His parents brought their family to the United States and settled in St. Louis, Missouri. At age 22, Patrick sought admission to the novitiate of the Christian Brothers at Carondelet. He was given the habit of the Brothers and the religious name of Brother Adjutor of Mary in August, 1871.

Brother Adjutor spent the next eight years teaching elementary school in St. Louis. In 1879, he was appointed Director of St. Patrick's Commercial Academy in Chicago. In 1892, he became the founder of the De La Salle Institute in Chicago. Beginning in 1899, he became famous for recruiting 26 postulants from Ireland for work in the St. Louis District.

Brother Adjutor organized the De La Salle Auxiliary in 1902. He spent the remainder of his life fighting diabetes. He died at age 64, having been a De La Salle Christian Brother for 41 years.
