Palazzo, Robert Clayton, age 70, of Brewster, NY, formerly of North Salem, NY, Died on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 in Valhalla, NY.

Mr. Palazzo was born July 18, 1940 in Bronx, NY to Robert S. and Elizabeth (Smith) Palazzo. He served in the Army from 1959 until 1961. On June 30, 1962 he married Catherine Cullen in the Bronx.

Mr. Palazzo was a plumber working for the plumbers union local #1 in both Manhattan and the Bronx until his retirement in 1995. He then worked as a teacher's assistant at Green Chimneys School in Brewster for 5 years. He retired from Green Chimneys to help take care of his grandchildren.

Through the years, Mr. Palazzo was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge 2101 in Brewster, the Knights of Columbus of St. Josephs Parish in Croton Falls, NY and a past member of the Goldens Bridge Fire Department. He enjoyed tag sales, flea markets and was an excellent cook.

Besides his wife, Catherine, Mr. Palazzo is survived by his daughter, Mary Palazzo Harrison and her husband Richard; a brother Richard Palazzo; and three grandchildren, Grace Suzanne Harrison, Clayton Robert Harrison and Jack William Harrison. He was predeceased by two children, a son Robert D. Palazzo in 1985 and a daughter, Suzanne R. Palazzo in 1991.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 19, 2011 10AM at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Brewster, NY. Interment of the ashes will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery, Somers, NY. Friends may call at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster on Monday from 4 to 8pm.
