Edith Beatrice Alexander Lamb, 87, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at her residence.

A native of Del Rio, TN and resident most of her life of Buncombe County, she retired in 1995 from Five Points Restaurant where she served as a waitress for many years.

Mrs. Lamb was a daughter of the late Edgar and Mary Gown Alexander and wife of James Nathan Lamb who died February 7, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Brent King.

Surviving are her daughters, Janice Vanover , Marie Mulley (Bob), Shirlean Ledbetter and Teresa Miller (Jimmy); son, Eddie Lamb (Angie); 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Decimal Trainer, Minnie Myers, Ellie Bollerman and Janette Gaskill and brother, Jimmy Alexander.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. James R. Lamb officiating.
