Leo J. Flower, 76, a Santa Cruz resident since 1922, died yesterday in a local nursing home after a long illness. A retired gardener, Mr. Flower was a native of Wisconsin. He was a charter member of First Assembly of God church.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; a son, John Flower of Santa Cruz: two daughters. Mrs. Helen Bridgette of Watsonville and Mrs. Loretta Johanson of San Jose; a brother, Manley Flower of Santa Rosa; three sisters, Mrs. Lela Rohrbeck of Wisconsin, Mrs. Ina Robertson of Richmond, and Mrs. Esther Matthews of San Jose; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Assembly of God church, with the Rev. Kenneth Short officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial park. Friends may call at White's mortuary until noon Tuesday.
