Edward "Ed" Bernard Bouska, 73, of Shawnee died Monday in an Oklahoma City hospital.


He was born Feb. 12, 1929, in Sparks, the son of Cyril Peter and Anna S. (Higdon) Bouska.

Bouska was a retired veteran and a retired civil servant.

He married Apollonia Marquart in Bamberg, Germany, on Aug. 2, 1952. He served in the military from Aug. 17, 1948, until Sept. 11, 1969.

He was a parishioner of St. Benedict Catholic Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leo Bouska; and a sister, Anna Marie Bouska.


A prayer service will be 7 p.m. today at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be noon Wednesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church with the Rev. Maurus P. Jaeb, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The family requests that prayers and mass intentions in the names of Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Bouska be made to St. Benedict Catholic Church, 632 N. Kickapoo, Shawnee, OK 74801.

Arrangements are being handled by Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
