"The funeral services of Lorenzo Dow Ellis were held at the home of his son, Park D Ellis, near Hartstown, Monday, March 27, at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev J A Hazlett of the U P church. Mr Ellis was past 83 years of age and was the youngest of a family of ten children. For many years he was a member of Hartstown U P church and was very active in church work. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs J M McCurdy, of Hartstown, and five sons, Bert, of Long Beach, California, Frank and Harry, of Greenville, and Park and Arthur, at Hartstown, besides a number of grandchildren. Interment was made in the family lot at Hartstown cemetery."
