She married actor Edwin Booth on 2 June 1869; her grandfather Rev. B. F. Myers performed the wedding ceremony. She and Edwin Booth had a child in July 1870, a son Edgar, but he died shortly after birth, and there were never any other children.
Her health began failing while in Europe where her husband was touring and it was recommended that she return home immediately. She became more unstable and died at the home of her mother and step-father. She was buried in Chicago.
