Shirley L. Hankins, 85, of Nashville, Tennessee formerly of Paducah, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at The Barton House in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born in Washington, D.C., raised in Covington, Kentucky before moving to Paducah and graduating from Paducah Tilghman High School. Shirley was retired from Reidland High School Cafeteria after 22 years of service. She was a member of Reidland Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.

Shirley is survived by her son, Kyle Hankins and wife, Paula of Nashville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Madeline Hankins, Nicholas Hankins and Jonathan Hankins; one nephew, Rusty Shoulta; one niece, Tamara Ozaki and husband, Hakki and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bryan Hankins; sister, Wanda Shoulta; brother, Homer Butler. Her parents were Cledis Butler and Minola Frizell Butler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Rob Ison officiating. Burial will follow at Brook Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
