She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Domingo Benavides; two sons, David and Alvaro Benavides; and twin great-grandchildren, Ashley Nicole and Justin Hunter Stephenson.
Eloisa had a full and productive life. She owned and ran a grocery store at 1123 East Kleberg in Kingsville for many years and touched many lives during her lifetime.
Eloisa's three sons, Corando, David and Alvaro served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam and this placed a sad and deep worry in her life, but she was blessed to see all three of them come home alive and well.
In later years, the death of her sons, Alvaro and David brought heartache to her life and she seemed to decline since then, but she was loved and respected by her family always.
Mrs. Benavides is survived by two daughters, Aurora (Ron) Stephenson of Corpus Christi, Texas and Irma (Jim) Wiggins of Kingsville, Texas; two sons, Corando (Kim) Benavides of Kingsville and Abelardo (Rosa) Benavides of Corpus Christi; one sister, Evelia Mesa of Corpus Christi; four brothers, Armando Benavides of Hebbronville, Texas, Alvaro Benavides of Corpus Christi, Adan Benavides of Kingsville and Lucio Benavides of Chicago, Illinois; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Burial followed at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery, Kingsville, TX.
