Obituary: William A. Browning, 65, of Farmersville and a former resident of this city, was killed shortly after 11 o'clock last night by a fast Illniois Central freight train at the Farmersville railroad station. The tragedy was witnessed by his wife and a son, Walter, of Chicago, both of whom were waiting for a Chicago bound passenger train which arrived a few minutes later. Funeral service will be held Wednesday afteroon at a time to be announced later. Interment will be in Oak Ridge cemetery. IL State Journal, Springfield, IL 10-27-1930
