Dorothy Elora Graham was born July 23, 1922, at Swea City, Iowa, to Arthur and Lucinda (Barger) Farrington. Elora graduated from Grant Township School in 1940 and was married on April 23, 1941, to Harvey Graham in Forest City, Iowa. The couple farmed near Fairmont, Burt and Wesley before moving into Algona in 1955. Harvey died on September 22, 1989.
Elora enjoyed gardening and reading but her greatest love was spending time with children. Elora and Harvey enjoyed camping and fishing when they were younger.
Elora was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Algona. She moved to Boone in 2005, do to ill health to be closer to her family. She died at the Hearth Stone Eastern Star Masonic Home on Tuesday June 19, 2007, at the age of 84.
Survivors include her sons, Dennis and wife Norma of Castle Rock, Colorado; Ken and wife Bonnie of Webster City, Iowa and Lowell and wife Rene of Boone, Iowa. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Elora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harvey, brother, Chester Farrington and sisters, Alava Dorsey and Doris Larsen.
