Injuries Fatal to Walter Timm
Funeral Services Will Be Conducted at Zion Lutheran Church Monday
Walter J. Tim, 41, of 402 West Fourth street died at Hershey hospital late Friday afternoon from internal injuries received in a fall from a ladder at the J. J. Havercamp home, 814 Iowa avenue, Thursday morning.
His injuries sustained when a ladder upon which he was climbing slipped from under him, were not believed to have been serious at first inasmuch as he fell but a short distance. When his condition grew worse he was taken to Hershey hospital Friday morning where his death occurred at about 3:15 p.m.
Mr. Timm was born in Lake township, Muscatine county, Dec. 25, 1894m the son of Henry and Johanna Rohde Timm, and resided in this community all of his life. He never married.
Surviving are three brothers, C. M. Timm and Powell Timm, both of Bloomington township, and Harry A. Timm of Muscatine; and five sisters, Mrs. Anna Balmos, Mrs. Emma Jones and Mrs. Clara Niemeier, all of Muscatine, and Mrs. Mary Weiss and Elizabeth Timm, both of Bloomington township. His parents preceded him
in death.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran church, of which congregation he was a member. The Rev. John Haefner, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. The body will remain at the George M. Wittich Funeral home, 210 Cedar street, until time for services.
The family requests that flowers be omitted.
