Roy C. Parkhurst
TREMONT — Roy C. Parkhurst, 63, died at 1 p.m. Saturday of a heart attack while plowing in a field near his farm home east of Tremont.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. (CDT) Tuesday at Wilkey Funeral home, Tremont. Burial will be Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Parkhurst was born Sept. 4, 1894, in Easton, a son of Otis and Lucy Quick Parkhurst. He married Jessie Hubbard in Havana, May 5, 1910.
Surviving are the wife; three sons, Clyde and Howard, both of Tremont and Ralph of Ethridge, Mont.; two daughters, Mrs. Laura Peck of Allentown and Mrs. Marjorie Barnard of North Pekin; two brothers, Clarence of Elmwood and Albert of Delevan; five sisters, Mrs. Della Buxton of Armington, Mrs. Susie Williams of Bell, Calif., Miss Harriett Vance and Miss Emma, both of Bartonville, and Mrs. Leo Hopping of Havana and three grandchildren.
