SHREVE - Dorothy M. Miller, 88, of Shreve, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at The Avenue at Wooster, following a short illness.
Dorothy was born December 26, 1930 in Big Prairie to the late Asa W. and Mazie I. (Hider) Speicher Hiltner. She was a graduate of Big Prairie High School. On June 22, 195l she married Ralph Junior Miller, they just celebrated 68 years of marriage, having been friends since third grade at Big Prairie School.
She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; enjoying time spent with family as much as time permitted. Listing to country music, attending blue grass festivals and watching old westerns were other enjoyments in Dorothy’s life.
She was a member of the Shreve Chapter, Ohio Eastern Star No. 496, since June 4, 1953.
Surviving in addition to her husband are children, John David (Sara) Miller of Big Prairie, Ralph T. (Annie) Miller of Decatur, IL, Jean M. (Charles) Stamen of Big Prairie; grandchildren, Mazie M. Miller, Makenzie Roth, Broden Roth, Lacee Miller, Timothy Stamen, Jason Stamen, Jeremy Stamen, Misty Stamen, Alexei Brown, Katie Fehrenbach, Brett Fehrenbach, and Steve Fehrenbach ; great grandchildren, Olivia Workman, Alana Stamen, Hattie Stamen, Taylor Nebergal and Caleb Gongwer.
Friends may call Saturday, October 12th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schlabach Funeral Home, Shreve. Graveside services will be Sunday, October 13th at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Michael Grant officiating. There will also be an Eastern Star service at the graveside service.
