In searching the 1850-1900 census I find Caroline was reported being borne in several years; 1920-1925. The 1900 census indicates her age as 80 and a birth of Dec 1819. She is living with her daughter Virginia 'Jennie" in 1900. This would have made her 89 at death. I do not see on the grave marker an age of 97, so I am not sure where 97 comes from. Se married Christopher Columbus Bircheat (several variations in the same years above; Budshot, Birchet, Burchett, Bercheat, Burchet, Buchet) 30 April 1843 in Shelby County, Alabama. They had six children; Sarah, Celia, Cynthia, Christopher, Joel, and Virginia. There is a purportedly a 7th, Author Larkin Bircheat, but I did not find him in the 1870 census. It is possible of the birth and death before 170. Christopher is not living with Caroline in 1870. Or 1880 where she is listed as a widow. Christopher purportedly died in Feb 1880 in Pope County, Arkansas. I have not searched the 1870 Arkansas yet and he would have been dead before the 9 June 1880 census. Caaroline's parents were James (1801-1870) and Mary Ann Fulton (1802-1875) Honeycutt. Info submitted by Rick Terrell 1/6/2015.
