Edward B. “Easy Ed” Adams, 93, of Cedar Falls died Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo.

He was born January 12, 1926 in Cabool, Missouri, son of Truey and Mildred (McFarland) Adams. He graduated from Webster City High School.

He married Virginia “Ginny” Trout on May 31, 1946 in Webster City, Iowa. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2015.

He was wounded as a U.S. Army ‘Hell on Wheels’ tank commander in the famed ‘Battle of the Bulge’ during WWII, receiving the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

He earned his two-year degree from Des Moines Business College (AIB) and was employed in sales with Addressograph-Multigraph.

Survived by: a daughter, Tonja (Toni) Adams of Cedar Falls his favorite nephew Bruce (Colleen) Hotchkiss and dear caregivers Kathy and Curt Morrison.

Preceded in death by: his parents and wife, Ginny Adams, and several siblings.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20th in the community room at the Ledges #1 (4125 Autumn Ridge Rd) in Cedar Falls, where military honors will be conducted at noon by the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49 Honor Guard and the Iowa Army National Guard. Inurnment will be at a later date in Graceland Cemetery in Webster City.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Tonja (Toni) Adams.
