Judy Gail Allen, age 62, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Brandenburg, KY, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019 at U of L Hospital in Louisville.
Judy was born September 25, 1957 in Battletown, KY to the late Robert James and Vera Janet Kellems Meeks. Her husband, Greg Allen, and sister, Diane Jupin, also preceded her in death.
Judy stayed at home raising her daughters and was a loving wife, mother, loved spending time with her granddaughters, and spoiled her sons-in-law. She cared for her husband, Greg, in his later years and also cared for her mother, mother-in-law, and many other family members. Judy later worked at the Wal-Mart in Corydon, IN for many years until it was her family’s turn to take care of her. She also enjoyed growing her flowers and reading as often as she could.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Gordon) Bramer, Jr. of Louisville, KY and Stacey (James) Wardrip of Brandenburg, KY; granddaughters: Emma Faylee Bramer, Jacey Amanda Wardrip, and Amber Rose Wardrip; sisters: Darlene (John) Taylor of Irvington, KY, Donna (Karl) Bohannon of Brandenburg, Sandy Humphrey of Brandenburg, and Cindy Greer of Brandenburg; and brothers, Rodney (Janet) Meeks of Custer and Steve Meeks of Brandenburg.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 1:00 PM EDT from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with burial to follow in Parr-Frans Cemetery in Battletown.
