Vester Ancel Lanning was born February 11, 1930 in Albion, Oklahoma. He was the only son of Ancel Columbus Lanning and Ruby May (Miller) Lanning. He passed from this life on September 27, 2019.

First and foremost, he was a provider for his family. They, by far, were his priority. After an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, Vester worked and retired as a smokehouse man for Safeway Foods in the meat processing department.
