Rita Alario
Rita H. "Moma Rita" Alario, 85, a native of Galliano and resident of Golden Meadow, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Sue Griffin and Cola Freeman and companion, Steve Carter; two sisters, Elsie Hebert and Cora Hernandez; 10 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Natilus Alario Jr.; her parents, Notilio and Celeste Gisclair Hebert; one son, Carlos Alario; three brothers, Cleveland, Natalie and Gaston Hebert; and three sisters, Louise Danos, Nola Esponge and Rose Hebert.
She was an employee for 44 years at Our Lady of the Sea Hospital and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
