YAKIMA - Nellie Louise (Lisle) Richey left us on July 6, 2007, with her husband Boone and her family by her side, at her Nile Valley Home.

Nellie was born on November 6, 1915, in Bliss ,Idaho to Frank and Anna Lisle.

She moved to the Old Nile Mill site with her family in 1933, where she met and married the love of her life Boone Richey on November 9, 1936. In 1946 they moved to their home on Chinook Pass where she and Boone lived for 60 years.

Nellie thrived on being a compassionate wife, mom, sister, aunt, grandma, neighbor, and friend to all of those she ever had the honor of meeting. All of the folks that came to her door were welcomed as family and never left hungry. There were very few times that you didn't walk through her home and hear someone saying Grandma or Aunt Nellie, or from Boone, calling her Honey.

She enjoyed quilting, fishing, camping, and crafting. Over the years she contributed many quilts to family, friends, and many organizations. She was an active founding member of the Nile Women's Club since the early forties. Nellie enjoyed many hours of playing marbles and cards with anyone who would play.

Nell had a daycare in their home for many, many years, where she instilled the importance of old-fashioned family values to "all her kids".

Nellie leaves Boone, her husband of 70 years and their daughter Phyllis Parks, at their home.

Nellie is survived by her sister Dolly Bergman, two brothers James Lisle (Mamie) and Mike Lisle (Ginny).

Her legacy lives on through their daughter Phyllis and 4 grandchildren, Debbie Olson (Richard), Sandy Scott (Kevin Damm), Pam Dexter (Mike), and Dan Scott (Dawna); 12 Great-Grandchildren, Michelle Olson, Ken Olson (Wendy), Stacy Dexter (Bob) Rikki Rainville (Stef), Amy Gaines (Bryan), Scott Parks (Sarah), Chance Dexter, Kevin Scott, Kyle Scott, Lyndsey Scott, Levi Needles, and Kaci Scott; 17 Great-Great-Grandchildren; as well as numerous Nieces, Nephews, and extended family.

We would like to acknowledge the presents of her sister Dollie Bergman. "Son" Mike McClellan, Gary and Lowleen Denend, Gary and Rachel Denend and Annette Skinner for their continued support.

Nellie is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Anna Lisle, her 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and 1 grandson Larry Scott.

The family feels deep gratitude for the support and gracious kindness to Pastor Craig Norwood and his wife Lani, the entire staff of the Nile Cliffdell Fire Department, and the Nile Valley Community for their love and support.

In memory of Nellie, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Nile Community Church or the Nile Cliffdell Fire Department.

Visitation will be offered from 3-7 Monday at Shaw & Sons Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M Tuesday at the Nile Community Church wth interment to follow at the Naches Cemetery.

We will miss you beyond belief, my wife, my mom, my sister, my aunt, and my grandma!
