Robert “Doc” Burchett, 70, passed away February 8 1991 at Akron General Medical Center, after a brief illness.
Mr Burchett was born in Christan, Kentucky and lived in the Akron area most of his life. He was employed by General Motor’s Terex Division, retiring in 1975. Mr. Burchett was in the 253rd Field Artillery Battalion of the US Army, serving during World War II and had participated in the Battle of Normandy. He was a member of the World Wide Church of God.
He is survived by wife of 50 years marriage, Eunice; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Jr and Maureen of Greentown; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Martin Huth of Tallmadge; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; four brothers and five sisters,
Funeral services Monday, 11 am at Hopkins-Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd, Akron. Rev Dave Pack officiating. Burial Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home, Sunday 6 to 9 pm.
