Jack Bruce, 77, of Lubbock passed away July 9, 2019 in Lubbock.

Jack was born in Winters, Tx to A. C. Bruce and Leona Harter Bruce on January 15, 1942.

He married Lynell Gray on May 30, 1969 in Winters.

Jack attended Wingate / Winters schools and graduated from Muleshoe High School. He graduated from UT Arlington with a bachelor's in Music Education, certified in voice and instrumental. He completed some graduate courses in Bible at Abilene Christian University.

He is a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Army as a Lieutenant in the 4th infantry division.

Jack worked in sales for various companies and was a minister for several years in Kansas and West Texas churches. He was also involved in the prison ministry in the DFW area and West Texas. He enjoyed teaching Bible classes and working with the youth with Leadership Training for Christ.

Jack is preceded in death by A. C. Bruce, Leona Harter Chapmond, and Lawrence Chapmond.
