Nelson A. (Potts) Potter II passed away peacefully in his sleep in Kent, Washington on Saturday, September 1, 2019 at the age of 86. Potts was born in Wellsville, New York on November 13, 1932 to the late Virginia (Dean) Potter and Nelson A. Potter. He graduated from Wellsville Central High School in 1950. He attended Alfred University before leaving to join the Navy where he was a navigator in the Naval Air Force for four years. Potts was an important part of camp life for many years and eventually was part owner of Brentwood Camp in Angelica, New York. He also worked for Control Data for 18 years in San Leandro, California. He is preceded in death by his longtime friend and companion Larry Robertson. Potts is survived by Larry’s brother Garry Robertson who was a valued friend and support to Potts in his later years. Potts is also survived by his brother, Joel Potter of Johnston, Ohio; niece Abby (David) Fischer and grand-nephews Benjamin and Riley Fisher. A celebration of life for close friends and family will be held in Wellsville at a time to be determined.
