1943 California, Railroad Employment Records state that Drew was employed as a fireman for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe - Coastline from Aug. 24, 1943, to Nov. 11, 1943.
"Drew Perkins Robinson, aged 53 years, Alexandria (Louisiana), died at a local hospital at 9 a.m. today, September 4, 1945. He is survived by one son, E. D. Robinson, U.S. Navy; two brothers, F. P. of Texarkana, TX, and Roy of New Orleans; two sisters, Mrs. T. C. Taylor (Naomi) and Mrs. Clyde Cannon (Lola), both of Alexandria; and one granddaughter, Carolyn Drew Robinson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Hixson's Chapel with interment following in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville (Louisiana). "
