Gillespie, April 11. - Austin Hoggatt, 69, died suddenly from a heart attack at his home on West Oak street, Gillespie, Wednesday morning.
Decedent, a resident of Gillespie for a number of years, was born near Scottville, the son of William and Agnes McCollom Hoggatt.
On Sept. 9, 1894, he was united in marriage to Clara Belle Young of near White Hall, Ill. She preceded him in death in 1925, and two sons also preceded him in death, Ira in 1903 and Gerald in 1936.
Surviving relatives are two sons and two daughters, Georgia, a teacher in the grade schools, and Loren, at home; Agnes, wife of Nick Siegel, of Petersburg, Ill.; and Lee, of Greenview, Ill.; two sisters, and two brothers, Mrs. G.D. Worley, of Gillespie; Mrs. Frank Clary, of Garland, Kan.; N.M. Hoggatt, of Garland, Kan.; and M.M. Hoggatt, of Sherwood, Ore.
A brother, W.O. Hoggatt, of St. Louis, died in 1935.
Funeral services were at the family residence, 203 West Oak street.
Interment was in Mayfield Memorial park.
