Rose M. Davis, daughter of Forest and Virginia Carter Faulkingham, passed from her earthly home to her heavenly mansion on September 15, 2019, at an Ellsworth hospital. Born January 18, 1934, she lived all her life in various towns throughout Maine. She worked most of her adult life as a packer of sardines but retired at 80 from Walmart due to an injury.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Heather Look Grant; her husband, Fred Davis; her parents, a stepfather and four siblings.
After graduating from Harrington High School as salutatorian in 1953, she lived in Presque Isle, Maine and trained as a telephone operator.
Rose is survived by her sister, gweneth Strout; her granddaughter, Desiree Grant; and her father, Chester Grant. She is also survived by a grandson, Christopher Crowley; and by several nieces and nephews and by a great-granddaughter.
Rose was preceded in death this year by her lifelong friend, Dixie Anderson Cirone.
At the time of her death, Rose was a resident of Milbridge, Maine.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Harrington, September 28 at 2 p.m.
