On April 15, 1922, she was united in marriage with Lynn R. Young and to this union six children were born. Lynn preceded her in death on April 21, 1978. Effie was a devoted wife and mother. She was a longtime member of Glenstone Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Tony R. Young and his wife, Carolyn, of Russellville, Arkansas two daughters, Madge Y. Nelson, and Cathern M. Boyd and her husband, Jim, all of Springfield 19 grandchildren 46 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents three sons, Fred A., Lynn R. Jr., and Don C. Young one infant grandson, Douglas A. Nelson and 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, July 15, 2006, at Glenstone Baptist Church, with interment following in McCauley Cemetery. The family will receive friends before the service.
