Crampton, Edward Parmer. Born Dec. 16, 1890, Sheldon, Iowa. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard E. Crampton, Austin, Minn. Previous military training, Kansas National Guard from June to October, 1907, Iowa National Guard 1908 to 1912. Occupation, painter. Residence, Austin. Entered service June 19, 1917, at Austin, as corporal in Co. 136th Infantry Band, 34th Div. Promoted to Sergeant. Embarked from New York on Maleta Oct. 13, 1918, and arrived at Liverpool Oct. 24. Trained at Le Havre, France. Arrived at Hoboken April 25, 1819, as a 3rd class musician.
