Mrs. Josephine Phillips Prichard, 94, of 3130 Oakland Ave., Catlettsburg, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday in King's Daughters' at Hospital following an extended illness.


Born Dec. 25, 1875, at John's Creek in Pike County, she was a daughter of the late John and Edith Smith Phillips. She had been a resident of Catlettsburg for the past 50 years and was a member of the Cannonsburg United Methodist Church. Her husband, a prominent Boyd County physician, Dr. Lon M. Prichard, preceded her in death.


Surviving are a grandson Charles H. Woods, Jr., of Rt. 2, Ashland, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.


The body is at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home in Catlettsburg. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
