W.E. "Skinny" Putnam
Service for Wayne Everett "Skinny" Putnam, 76, of Colbert will be 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Bryan County Funeral Chapel, (Colbert) .
Mr. Putnam was born Jan. 31, 1916, in Mashburn, east of Colbert, (Hendrix was added above due to the fact it would not accept Mashburn) and died Wednesday at Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma.
He was a retired farmer. He attended Mashburn schools and the Hendrix Baptist Church.
He was married to Mary Alice Brown, Dec. 3, 1938, in Hendrix. She preceded him in death, Sept. 6, 1979
He is survived by his mother, Carrie Putnam of Colbert, a son, Bill Putnam of Paoli; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Carpenter's Bluff, the Rev. Sam Allenbaugh officiating. (October 24, 1992
