He was called Elder in the old Morse Church, (later called the Elder Palmer Church). "Deacon Robert Fargo Died April 10th 1794 Ages 69 years". Hence he was born in the year 1725. He resided in the Town of Montville, was a farmer by occupation and Deacon of the Rev. Reuben Pulver (or Pulwers) Baptist Church, Montville... He had one brother and one sister.

Amongst two companies that immediately marched to Boston, and took part in the Battle of Bunker Hill. Sergeant Fargo's report to the Sergeant Major of Capt.
