Sandria Carleen (Sandy) McManus died Friday, April 11, 1986.

She is the twin sister of Candria Maureen (Candy) McManus.

They were both born with cerebral palsy and both of them were confined to a wheelchair all of their lives.

Sandy went to be with Jesus at the age of 22 years, 7 months and 23 days, after an illness.

They are great, great granddaughters of Mary Liza and Dave Beattie and great granddaughters of Georgia Beattie Metcalfe and Henry McNair Metcalfe.

She was preceded in death by her two cousins, Tracey Gay Womack 08/25/1976 - 11/19/1982 and Tammy Katherine Womack 03/09/1979 - 11/19/1982, daughters of Helen B. Womack Gousset.

She is survived by her parents, Betty G. Lewis and William R, (Buddy) Lewis, her twin sister, Candy McManus, a brother James B. McManus and wife, Rhonda, maternal grandparents, Elgie G. Metcalfe Waller and Roger Waller and one aunt, Helen Gousset and husband Joe, all of Natchez.

***Candy is still living and was 45 years old on August 18, 2008. She still grieves for her sister and misses her so very much.

"Sandy loved her twin sister, Candy, so much that she would make herself sick if they were separated for any length of time. She depended on Candy to interpret whatever she was trying to say to anyone. Candy would know what Sandy was going to say before Sandy finished saying it!" :)

***Candy went to Heaven on November 26, 2010 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was so valiant and brave. She may have lost the battle, but she won the war! Now she is reunited with her "other half" and I just know they are running and skipping on streets paved with gold and are totally pain free.

***When Sandy and Candy were a year old, doctors gave them no longer than age five to live. This is my testimony to a God that knows no boundaries. He, alone, knew how long each of them would be here on this earth. He had a plan and they were to bear proof that God is Almighty. They both touched so many lives while they were here. They would pray for people with trivial problems, while they were bound in a body that was crippled and filled with pain. Candy prayed for people in the nursing home as she lay dying from the terrible disease of cancer. I knew they were God's children as well as mine, for they were meant to serve a living purpose on this earth. I don't doubt how many lives they touched and changed during their time here. I have to leave this as a testament to their purpose and their service to the Lord. We may all pass away, but God and His word will never pass away!
