Funeral services for Charles Edwin Lucas, 81, of Chickasha, were held at on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.

Charles Edwin Lucas was born on March 27, 1938 at home near Comanche, Oklahoma to Edward and Alene (Hicks) Lucas. He died on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at his home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Charles attended school in Terra Bella, California then moved back to Cement during his high school years.

On March 17, 1967, he married Lucy “Amy” Dodd and they had 52 years together.

Charles was a welder by trade and worked for Stidham Horse Trailers and later worked as a service technician for the City of Chickasha until his retirement.

He loved to hunt for arrowheads, go fishing and go camping with the family. He also enjoyed having fish frys and crawdad boils in the backyard with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Edward Lucas and Alene (Hicks) Alsup.

Survivors include his wife, Amy of the home; daughter, Mae Lucas; sons, Charles Roy Lucas and Joe Lynn Lucas and wife, Jhona, all of Chickasha; grandchildren, Jessica Lucas and Kaden Webster; and other extended family and friends.

Charles’ wishes were cremation following the service.

Viewing will be held at Ferguson Funeral Home on Sunday, August 4th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m and Monday, August 5th from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
