Mary Antha Brackett, age 82, of Casar, NC, passed away, Friday, September 20, 2019, at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain, NC.
Born November 16, 1936, in Cleveland County, NC; a daughter of the late Ruffin William Brackett (1910–1975) and Sarah Gladys Deviney Brackett (1913–2008).
Retired from Broughton Hospital, was a member of Casar United Methodist Church, and a former member of Friends of the Park and Casar Community Choir.
Survivors include brothers, Wayne Brackett and Roger Brackett; nieces, Lori Brackett and Ashley Peeler; nephews, John Brackett, Mark Brackett, and Timmy Brackett; and a number of great-nieces and nephews.
Also preceded in death by a brother, Gerald William Brackett (1932–2004); and three nephews, Richard David "Rick" Brackett (1957-1981), William Scott Brackett (1962–2015), and David Rocky Newton (1979-2017).
Visitation was from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, Sunday, September 22, 2019, at Casar United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
The funeral service followed at 3:00 pm at the church; with burial in the church cemetery.
