Memorial Services for Michael Douglas Ayers, age 67, of Bonham, Texas will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow at a later date at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Michael passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Dallas VA Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Michael was born October 6, 1951, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the son of Raymond R. Ayers and Ina Donnaline Booe Ayers. He served in the United States Navy for thirty years before retiring. Michael was an honorable man. He loved his family dearly, especially his beloved wife, Sherry, who will remember him as her hero. Michael will be sorely missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, his former wife, Judy Ayers, and daughter, Tracy Bragg.

Michael is survived by his wife, Sherry Bragg Ayers of Bonham, Texas; daughter, Pasiun Bragg of Bonham, Texas; sister-in-law, Betty Bragg Perry and husband Tony of Sherman, Texas; brothers-in-law, John Bragg and wife Patsy of Bonham, Texas, Leo Bragg of Beaumont, Texas, and Joey Bragg of Denton, Texas; grandchildren, Kache Lewis and Courtney Stevenson; great-grandchild Germany Owens; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
