She worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation for over 30 years until her retirement on December 31, 2001 and was a member of Capital City Christian Church.
Judy loved being an active part of her daughters’ lives. One of the things that she most enjoyed was Friday Night Family Night, when all her family would gather for dinner. The evening would always end with hugs and kisses for everyone, even though everyone would see each other later that night or the next day. Judy enjoyed watching movies and the St. Louis Cardinals and had a great passion for animals. She always said she hoped when she got to heaven she would be put in charge of the animals.
Survivors include her three daughters: Susan Ludy, Karen Young, Sandy McDonald (Mike); four grandchildren: Trevor Ludy, Kelsay Easley (Terry), Jason McDonald (Jen), Brice McDonald (Brittney); one great grandchild, Xavier Ludy; and her beloved dog, Riley.
Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2019, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Frank Goehringer officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Jefferson City Animal Shelter Benefit Fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109.
