Sherman E. Gordon, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away surrounded by his beloved family, and friends, Tuesday, July 3, 2007. He was 86.

Born October 26, 1920 in Black Foot, Idaho and had resided in Red Bluff for 47 years. He married Barbara Nott in 1983. Sherman was a long time rancher and worked for Diamond Plywood. He was on the Lariat Bowl Hall of Fame and a Junior Bowler Coach. He loved to travel with his wife and friends, loved fishing, going to the Casino and spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 32nd Divison in WWII, and was a member of the Calif. State Bowling Association, member and officer of D.G. Credit Union. His love for all and his sense of humor touched us all. He cared and went out of his way to help his friends and family and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Barbara Lee Gordon, sons Wilson and Linda Gordon, and Edward E. Gordan, daughters Marjore Espinoza, Sherma and Willie Dausses, sisters Marcella and Virginia, ten grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by first wife Marjerie Ruby, son Michael Nott, brothers Robert E and D.A. Gordon and grandchild Jessica Lynn Nott.

Services will held at 9:30, Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Military Services.
