Walterboro, April 5 - T. J. McDaniel, 46, died at Baker sanatorium, Charleston, at noon today following several weeks of illness. He had been at the sanatorium only a few days. Funeral services will be at the First Baptist church Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock, the Rev. Charles M. Griffin and the Rev. A. W. Skardon of the Episcopal church officiating. Interment will follow in Live Oak cemetery here. Two brothers, R. W. of Walterboro and W. A. McDaniel of Beaufort, died within the last few weeks. Surviving are his widow, who was Miss Florence Ellis of Hampton; six children, Miss Evelyn, T. J., Miss Margerie, Miss Florence, Billy and Frances; one brother, S. P. McDaniel of Beaufort; three sisters, Mrs. John E. Lee of Fort Valley, Ga., Mrs. G. Lloyd Preacher of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. M. B. Meyer of Allendale. Mr. McDaniel came to Walterboro 21 years ago and had been operating the soft drink bottling plant.
